Our eye doctors take the time to explain the results of your eye exam, describe the available options, and listen to your eye care needs. Dr. Salyer has been in practice in the Troy area for over 25 years and has been with Procare Vision Center since 2005. She’s married with 3 grown children. When she is not helping patients, Dr. Salyer enjoys reading and all things fiber (wool, alpaca, cotton, etc) knitting and spinning her own yarn.
Dr. Hoying is originally from West Union, Ohio. She attended Shawnee State University where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology Pre-Medicine and a minor in Chemistry in 2001. She then attended The Ohio State University College of Optometry where she received her Doctorate of Optometry in 2006.
Dr. Hoying enjoys the medical aspect of optometry such as diabetic and hypertensive eye disease, macular degeneration, and dry eye, which allows her to partner with patients to both manage and educate them on how they can keep their vision and eyes healthy. She enjoys explaining the complex nature of eye disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment in an easily understood manner.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, loves traveling, cooking, and exploring new restaurants.
